How to Properly Pack Your Gadgets While Travelling

Some transportation terminals are more strict in checking baggage for electronic devices and will not allow you to hand-carry your gadgets. But there is no need to despair, you can still bring your gizmos with you and safely transport them to your destination by following these precautionary steps.

As you plan your trip, make a list of the electronic items that you will be bringing along. For every device, write the accompanying accessories. This can also serve as your inventory in the chance that your belongings get lost or damaged.

After that, start packing your gadgets by wrapping them in bubble wrap or non-abrasive cloths to protect them from dents and scratches. Before you wrap your mobile phone, make sure to take out the SIM card. This will allow you to still have your contacts even if your phone will break or end up lost. The same rule goes for your digital cameras and laptops. You should back up all your important files on to external memory devices (like portable flash discs, memory cards, and so on) and bring the copies with you. As for your chargers, cables, battery packs,and other accessories, pack them separately but with the same care. Remember to tie up your wires to avoid getting them tangled with other items.

Your next step is to choose a bag that has a protective and sturdy outer shell with inside coverings that are not rough. You can place your devices in between some garments to add a thicker and softer cushion for unexpected impacts.

Lastly, make sure you have fully charged all your electronics before your trip so you can immediately use them when the need arises.
